Still working on those Thanksgiving leftovers? Put down the drumstick for a bit and take a look at the latest happenings in the hot stove.

Javier Vazquez struggled in his second time around in New York, but that hasn’t dissuaded the Florida Marlins from giving him a one year, $7M contract.

Jayson Werth told CNSPhilly.com that he’s still very much in the early stages of finding a new team/re-signing with the Phillies.  There certainly will be a waiting game as the Werth and Carl Crawford camps wait for one another to make a move.

According to Peter Gammons, nine different teams have an interest in free agent reliever Jesse Crain. The Twins right-hander hasn’t been able to match his early success and probably needs a change of scenery.

The Denver Post’s Troy Renck reports that the Rockies are looking into free agent reliever Brandon Webb. Seems the Rockies are checking out every free agent.  Meanwhile, AOL Fanhouse’s Ed Price says the Cubbies are seriously looking into bringing in Webb.

The Dodgers are reportedly looking into stealing Juan Uribe from their longtime rivals, the SF Giants.  Buster Olney reports the two sides are near agreement on a three year deal.

Twins 1st baseman Justin Morneau expects to be ready for spring training after missing more than 2 1/2 months of this past season with a concussion and post-concussion syndrome.

The Rangers have avoided arbitration with reliever Mark Lowe by agreeing to a new one year deal.

SI’s Jon Heyman reported Sunday that the Yankees may added money, but not years to Derek Jeter’s initial three year, $45M offer.  However, a source told ESPN’s Wallace Matthews that the Yankees will not change their offer. The hot stove will have an in-depth look at the Jeter negotitations in Tuesday’s edition.  Things are said to be going much smoother with Jeter’s teammate Mariano Rivera, who is seeking a two year deal.

It’s been a while since the Orioles have contended and that has created an issue in trying to lure free agents to Baltimore. The Sun’s Peter Schmuck spoke with GM Andy McPhail about the frustration he faces.

Update 10 p.m.

ESPN’s Keith Law reports that the Rockies are working on a 10 year contract extension with their stud shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

Juan Uribe’s deal with the Dodgers is reportedly three years for $21M.

The A’s continue to be the main suitors for Lance Berkman and will be meeting with him on Tuesday.

The Rangers reportedly contacted Andy Pettitte about a possible contract, though Texas has denied the reports.

The Wall St. Journal’s Brian Costa reported that the Giants have been in contact with Derek Jeter’s agent Casey Close.

The Rangers added to their catching mix, signing Yorvit Torrealba to a two year contract worth $6.25M.
