The HBQVB Little League and the Knights of Columbus teamed up to hold a 24-Hour baseball game for charity. Event organizer John Saffian worked with HBQVB and the Brooklyn Cyclones to hold the event at MCU Park – home of the Cyclones.
Kids were asked to raise money for several charities, including Fisher House, HBQVB and the Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council 14520. Any player who raised $250 or more will attend a luncheon with former Mets star and current Brooklyn Cyclones manager Wally Backman.
The Brooklyn Cyclones are the Class A affiliate of the New York Mets. HBQVB stands for “Hollis, Bellaire, Queens Village and Bellerose.” For more information on how you can donate to the cause, visit http://extrainningscharity.org/
