Baseball Digest: What is your favorite food?
Jimmy Rollins: Italian Food and Honey Fried Chicken

BD: What is your favorite movie?
J-Roll: Boyz n the Hood

BD: What is your favorite T.V. show?
J-Roll: Martin

BD: What is your favorite activity outside of baseball?
J-Roll: Creating Music

BD: If you could be one actor, who would you be?
J-Roll: Denzel Washington, because of all of his accomplishments and different roles he gets to play, good-guys and bad-guys, and he shows a lot of versatility. But if not him, then maybe Samuel L. Jackson for the same reasons, because he shows a lot of versatility and just seems like he has a lot of fun in the roles that he plays.

BD: If you were not playing baseball right now, what would you be doing?
J-Roll: Probably be on the big screen, the silver screen, “A-Listing” somewhere in Hollywood

BD: What are you most proud of in your career?
J-Roll: Winning the 2008 World Series Championship

BD: Who was your favorite baseball player growing up?
J-Roll: All-time favorite player, even to this day, is Rickey Henderson, who was just inducted into the Hall of Fame. That’s where I got a lot of my inspiration, outside my parents, to play baseball and the way I play baseball.

BD: What current or retired athlete, not playing baseball, do you most like to watch?
J-Roll: I love watching Tiger Woods play golf. Also, when the summer months come around every four years, Yusen Bolt is just absolutely incredible, it’s mind-boggling, almost un-humanlike, but we get to see it with our own eyes.

BD: Which players on the team do you hang out with the most/who is your closest friend?
J-Roll: Usually Shane Victorino, Ryan Howard, Jayson Werth (J-Dub), Chase Utley, and now Ben Francisco, who I call “Benny Fresh,” and I all hang out together.

Does J-Roll play golf since he said that Tiger Woods is someone he enjoys watching play? If so, what is his handicap?

It’s a pleasure reading about the Phantastic Phillies especially after our E-A-G-L-E-S disappointed us.
