Coming off their team’s 27th World Championship, Yankee fans have been scooping up collectibles representing both the original and new Yankee Stadium.  Anyone who went to a Yankees game this year probably saw the various artifacts from the yard across 161st Street on display in the Great Hall – items like the outfield wall, turnstiles and stadium seats.

While many of those pieces are already in collectors’ homes, there are some interesting items that Yankees fans might want to take a look at.

One is Unforgettaballs, decorative baseballs that represent the “Yankee Stadium Opening Day (1923)”, “Yankee Stadium Redesign (1976)”, “The Final Day at Yankee Stadium (2009)”, and “New Yankee Stadium (2009).”   They even have Ebbets Field, the Polo Grounds, Citi Field, and — if you are so inclined — Shea Stadium.   They have most other teams as well, and for under $20, they’re an inexpensive way to celebrate your favorite stadiums, past and present.

ReggieFans looking for more personalized memorabilia can visit Steiner Sports, which has partnered with the Yankees to make just about everything from the “old” stadium available.  Steiner is running a “Black Friday” special over the Thanksgiving weekend, during which fans can get a special discount on pieces of “The Black,” the centerfield area first made famous by Reggie Jackson’s 1977 World Series home run.  Those pieces run from $25 (8×10″ plaque) to $225 (piece signed by Jackson).

MLB has also released a collection of every World Series film since 1943, 50-plus hours on 20 DVDs for $179.99 — the Yanks are part of 27 of those, including 18 wins.

I loathe how Steiner Sports is ripping off the public.
