I admire Jennifer Ring and have enjoyed reading her book, Stolen Bases. My next book, Chasing Baseball (McFarland 2010), includes a large section on women's and girls' baseball, and I'm now working on a historical novel about a woman ballplayer of the 1920s who refuses to accept Landis's cancellation of her minor-league contract.
