The Phillies went into the All-Star Break red-hot, and they picked up right where they left off. Jamie Moyer pitched seven innings of one hit ball, and Ryan Madson and J.C. Romero helped to combine for a 1-hit shutout in last nights 4-0 victory over the Marlins. The Phils have now won six straight, and they currently have the longest win streak in all of baseball.

Raul Ibanez and Ryan Howard supplied the offense for the night, as Ibanez hit two homeruns, his 23rd and 24th, and Howard hit his 23rd of the year. Howard’s homerun was also his 200th of his career, and he became the fastest player in major league history to reach that plateau.

The Phillies currently lead the Marlins in Game 2 of the four game set 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ace Cole Hamels is on the mound for the Phils, and he has been shaky as of late, but he has looked good so far in this game, scattering baserunners and getting out of jams.

Luckily, the Phils pulled out that game in extra innings in the 12th. with a 6-5 score after Utley knocked in the winning run as Rollins flew around the bases to score.
