Poor Bennett

The poor guy can’t catch a break…oops. Jeff Bennett has been placed on the 15-day DL after punching a door and breaking his left hand.

What makes it an entertaining story is he did it during the game, meaning he pushed the bone back in place and pitched the next inning without telling anybody. I really do feel sorry for Bennett, though, because he is such a nervous wreck and it will do him in. I doubt he will make it the entire season with the Braves. Boone Logan has been called up to take his spot.

Kenshin Kawakami is day-to-day with a bruised neck. The liner off his neck apparently isn’t nearly as serious as it appeared. He didn’t need x-rays.
