Bowman speaks on the Braves rotation, which is currently second in the league in ERA at 3.27 and third in innings pitched at 88. After a shutout performance on Wednesday night, Jair Jurrjens leads the staff with a 2-1 record and a 1.42 ERA. Javier Vazquez is second at 3.00, Derek Lowe at 3.27, and Kenshin Kawakami at 4.76.

Forbes lists the values of Major League teams, with the Braves experiencing a 10% drop from a year ago. The Braves are second to the Nationals in the biggest drop, with Washington coming in at 12%.

Minor League Roundup:
The Gwinnett Braves (5-9) lost a second straight to Durham, 6-2. Brooks Conrad had two hits and an RBI. Clint Sammons added two hits to help his .357 average. Charlie Morton allowed six runs in three innings. Boone Logan and Manny Acosta each pitched a scoreless inning.
The Mississippi Braves (6-7) beat Chattanooga, 9-8. Eric Campbell, Matt Young, and Phillip Britton each had two RBIs. Gorkys Hernandez added an RBI and scored twice. Scott Diamond allowed four runs in five innings. Kevin Gunderson pitched two scoreless innings and Rafael Cruz picked up the save.
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans (5-9) scored seven in the first inning in route to a 9-8 win over Kinston. Quentin Davis had two RBIs, and Freddie Freeman and Cody Johnson added one each. Jason Heyward sat out.
NL East Roundup:
The Marlins (11-4) lost 7-4, falling victim to a sweep by the Pirates. Cody Ross, Ricky Nolasco, Wes Helms, and Ronny Paulino each picked up an RBI. Hanley Ramirez added two hits. Ricky Nolasco gave up five earned runs in six innings. After a day off, the Marlins head home to host the Phillies.
The Phillies (6-7) lost to the Brewers, 3-1. Jayson Werth was the entire offense, picking up two hits and an RBI on a home run. Joe Blanton gave up three runs in six innings. The Phillies play one more against the Brewers before traveling to Miami to face the Marlins.
The Mets (6-8) lost a second straight to the Cardinals, 5-2. Carlos Beltran recorded three hits and an RBI. Daniel Murphy added an RBI. John Maine allowed five runs in five and two-thirds innings. The Mets play the Cardinals one more time before going home to host the Nationals.
The Nationals (3-11) couldn’t complete a sweep of the Braves, losing 1-0. Nick Johnson picked up two hits. John Lannan pitched seven shutout innings before the bullpen walked in the winning run in the ninth. After a day off, the Nationals travel to New York for a series with the Mets.
