In reviewing some of my articles over the past few months it’s apparently obvious that I’m a pessimist. I don’t mean to be so negative in regards to the Blue, but at times I am left scratching my head and wondering why. However, with only seven days left before it matters, I find myself with the sincerest belief that 2009 will be a magical season for the Dodgers- pitching be damned.
One week from today I will wake up with an excitement not felt since Casey Blake’s home run in Game 4 of the NLCS. And if the season turns out like the eighth inning of that game did for the Dodgers, well who cares. The joy of Dodger baseball triumphs all sadness otherwise present.
