- Nick Blackburn took the mound against the Cincinnati Reds last night in a game that finally made it to the homes of Twins fans up north. The end result was a 6-4 loss, but there were some good things to take away from the game.
- In his return to the mound, Blackburn allowed two runs in four innings of work. The other highlights were the bullpen; after Jesse Crain allowed four runs, the rest of the pitchers allowed nearly nothing.
- Kevin Slowey did an interview with MLB Trade Rumors; it’s pretty good, and worth a look.
- The Chicago Tribune has an article on Joe Crede. Gardenhire is getting a firsthand look at the veteran third basemen after only seeing him from the opposing bench all along, and he is very impressed.
