Until this day I have never bet a single dollar on baseball. NFL football is a different story, but baseball has thus far avoided the frustration of a bet gone arye. Then I saw this…

Sure they’re biased, but the vibes are omitting positives energy within my mind. Yes the pitching is a bit on the weak side, but remember the Dodgers won the division last season with Juan Pierre starting over half the season in the outfield, and Angel Berrora’s name getting penciled in over seventy times.

It’s not that I feel the Dodgers will win the NL West THIS season (which I do), but if the upcoming season were run eight times over, the Dodgers should have no problems claiming victory at least three of those times- and that’s all it takes for this bet to break even. Put Bed Selig on notice, here goes nothing…

What, no parlay? What is the over/under for Larry Bowa ejections this year?

  2. Brandon says:

Ok, first of all I’m not taking any gambling advice from a guy that actually bet me last year that Andruw Jones would get 15 home runs, after only posting 1 in April. I felt so bad that I lowered the number to 12. I could have lowered it to 5 and still won going away.

I have to share this…while looking up HR totals for Andruw Jones I clicked the ‘HR’ link at Baseball Reference, scrolled through all his career home runs (sorted by year), and actually skipped over 2008 so fast I didn’t even realize it. Pathetic. Try it for yourself…

I think a cool parlay would be this…

How many times Mariano Duncan verbally harasses an opposing player, then blames his latin heritage for running his mouth

    with

More Total RBI’s- Juan Pierre AND Chad Billingsley’s combined 2009 total or Andruw Jones’ 2008 total (14)

Ouch! 6 off Penny, and if he did not play in Atlanta he would most likely only have 100 career HRs…so sad…I love that almost 1/3 of his homers were on the first pitch, talk about getting lukcy more often than not.

If you recall, my first bet was actually 20 homers for Jones, you talked me all the way down to 12…
