Vin Mazzaro, one of the A’s trio of hotsthot young starters, is looking like he’ll be the first one of the group to make the big leagues. It might even be as soon as April.
Mazzaro pitched three scoreless innings for the A’s today, running his streak to eight innings without allowing a run in his first big league camp.
Mazzaro said he and Brett Anderson and Trevor Cahill push each other.
“It’s a little competition between us,” he said. “When you go out and see the other guys do good, it makes you want to do better.”
